This week, Thiago Belao joined Bravo LT as a Senior Mobile Developer and React Native Specialist.

He brings 14+ years of computer science experience, a track record of scaling mobile platforms to 500,000+ active monthly users, and a specialty in IoT integration and CI/CD automation.

He's already embedded with a client launching new IoT products to global markets and that's exactly where we need him.

We hear some version of this constantly: "We need someone with very specific experience. Ideally local. And we needed them yesterday."

Those three things almost never align in the same market at the same time. Not because the talent doesn't exist, but because the overlap of all three rarely shows up in one place, at the right moment, at the right price.

What actually helps: naming the tradeoff clearly before the search starts. Which of the three can you live without, if it means the other two are solid? That answer changes everything about how quickly you fill the gap.

Good partners don't just take the brief. They help you figure out which constraints are actually load-bearing and which ones you can trade for better results.

Something worth talking about: AI is making the hiring process harder, not easier, for a lot of organizations we speak with.

Not because there are fewer candidates. Because it's harder than ever to know who's real.

Something we've noticed over 20 years of working with technology teams: the best partnerships don't start with a headcount.

They start with a conversation about where the organization is trying to go and then we work backwards together to figure out who they need to get there.

It's a small shift in how the conversation opens, but it changes everything that follows. The talent fits better. The engagement lasts longer. The outcome is clearer from day one.

That's what we mean when we say people-based solutions. Not people as a commodity. People as the strategy.

It looks like a room full of 100+ job seekers, hiring managers, and coaches. All in one place, all focused on one thing: helping people move forward.

We were proud to sponsor the Chance for Good Grand Rapids Job Search Workshop this week. Our team participated directly: reviewing resumes, sharing interview tips, and having the kinds of real conversations that don't happen nearly enough.

In a fitting coincidence, just as our team returns from connecting with the tech community in São Paulo, we are excited to welcome Henrique, who is originally from Brazil, as our new Senior UX Designer.

Henrique brings more than 19 years of UX/UI experience, a master’s degree in Product Design, and a strong track record of creating award-winning digital solutions, including leadership experience at Itaú Unibanco, Brazil’s largest private bank.

🚀 Global Innovation in Action: Bravo LT Goes to Brazil! 🇧🇷

At Bravo LT and The Pi Academy , the Raspberry Pi holds a special place in our hearts for how it democratized computing, making education and hardware accessible to everyone. So, when our team traveled to São Paulo recently, we were absolutely thrilled to witness a similar revolution unfolding in South America at USP - Universidade de São Paulo.

We sat down with open-source and software engineering leaders Alfredo Goldman and Fabio Kon to get a behind-the-scenes look at the Caninos Loucos (Mad Dogs) Program.

Think of Caninos Loucos as Brazil’s answer to the Raspberry Pi, but with a unique regional mission. While the Pi sparked a global maker movement, Caninos Loucos is driving technological independence in Latin America by creating open-source Single Board Computers (SBCs) explicitly hardened for Industrial IoT and Smart City infrastructure.

Seeing the synergy of hardware engineering, software development, and community building happening at USP was truly inspiring. It reinforces exactly why our team at Bravo LT is so passionate about the power of open-source hardware.
