Who decides when your remote support stops working?

TeamViewer has announced that versions 13 and 14 begin an end-of-life phase-out on October 31. Support winds down, internet connections are disabled over time, and staying connected takes an active subscription. If your team still runs those versions, now is a good time to plan the move.

It's also a fair moment to ask a bigger question: whose servers does your help desk depend on?

With Secure Desk, the relay is yours. It runs on a Linux host you control, your Windows machines dial out to it, and there's no vendor cloud in the middle. Your technicians help people right from a browser, and every session is encrypted end to end.

Want to try it yourself? The free Starter license covers one technician and three Windows devices.

Solvang's City Council just moved to tighten rules on its AI-enabled downtown cameras — who can turn features on and off, what shows up in public records, and how the system is actually used (Santa Barbara News-Press, Oct 13).

When a camera program raises those questions, the useful starting point is where the video lives.

SecureWatch is for sites that already have IP cameras. An edge node records continuously to local disk where the cameras are. Operators replay through an encrypted cloud relay when they need a clip — the archive stays on the site node.

Not a consumer camera app. Not a shared surveillance network. Record on site. Replay when you need it.

Clearo Payments just published a practical guide (Oct 11) on who needs a quarterly ASV scan under PCI DSS v4.0.1 — including many SAQ A merchants who redirect shoppers to a hosted checkout.

An official ASV scan still has to come from a PCI SSC–listed Approved Scanning Vendor. Between those quarters, you still want a clear picture of what your internet-facing systems look like.

That's what Secure Assess is for. We run defensive PCI 11.3 vulnerability assessments on systems you authorize, map findings, and give you an ASV-readiness PASS or FAIL — not an official attestation, and never a pentest. We scan and advise. We never attack.

Did you know? Your recipients don't need another account just to read a protected email.

Secure Message sits in front of the mail you already run. On Professional, protected messages open in a branded portal with a one-time code sent to their inbox — no password, no app to install.

Inbound filtering starts on Community, on a Debian host you control. Encryption at rest uses keys that stay on that host. No mailbox migration.

Secure Assess is for PCI 11.3 vulnerability assessment not a pentest. Scheduled defensive scans, AI-triaged findings, PCI mapping, and a PDF report. We scan and advise. We never attack. ASV-readiness is a PASS or FAIL check not an official attestation.

SecureLink is a WireGuard enterprise VPN you run from your own self-hosted Linux control plane, with Windows client and server agents and a Linux VPN server appliance. Devices, VPN servers, groups, routes, sessions, and enrollment all live in an admin you host, so you decide where it runs and how it's looked after.

Most firewalls ask you to edit each daemon’s world and hope it stays coherent.

SecureGuard keeps one document. Named objects and zones. Preview the rendered change, commit it, and roll back by id — on hardware or a hypervisor you already own. Licenses stay node-locked on the box; traffic does not depend on a phone-home to pass.

Your firewall. One document. You run it.

When lawmakers debate rules that would weaken encryption or force more access into the middle of a session, the product question is simple: who holds the keys?

Secure Desk is self-hosted remote support and web VDI on a relay you run. After pairing, the Windows endpoint and the browser console run an ephemeral ECDH exchange and derive AES-256-GCM keys. The relay forwards ciphertext — it is handed no key material.

Endpoints own the keys. The relay you run can’t watch.

Microsoft’s September 2026 Windows 11 updates can break Always On VPN when the profile uses automatic IKEv2+SSTP failover (stuck Connecting / port already in use). Microsoft’s current workaround is SSTP-only or IKEv2-only.

SecureLink is a self-hosted WireGuard enterprise VPN you run — Linux control plane, Windows agents, Linux VpnServer appliance — not Microsoft Always On VPN.
