🤖 Where Could AI Make the Biggest Difference in Your Practice?
Practice leaders are increasingly looking beyond “Should we use AI?” and asking a more practical question:
💡 “Where could AI actually make the biggest difference in our day-to-day operations?”
Every practice has repetitive work that consumes valuable staff time, attention, and resources. ⏱️
But the biggest opportunity may look different depending on your workflows.

If you could automate one of these areas tomorrow, where would you start? 👇
💬 Tell us in the comments—and let us know what makes that task a challenge in your practice.

The conversation around AI in healthcare is shifting from “What can AI tell us?” to “What can AI actually do?”

That distinction matters for medical practices.

Traditional AI tools and chatbots are often designed to respond to prompts. AI agents are designed to support actions within defined workflows, helping information move through processes and reducing repetitive operational work.

For practice leaders, the opportunity is less about adopting AI for its own sake and more about identifying where intelligent automation can improve how work gets done.

Patient intake. Documentation. Coding. Billing. Follow-up.

The question is no longer simply whether AI belongs in healthcare, it’s where AI can meaningfully improve the workflow.

Swipe through for a closer look at the difference between an AI agent and a chatbot, and what it could mean for your practice.

📊 9 RCM KPIs That Medical Billing Services Actually Move

Are your denial rates climbing while cash flow lags behind? 📉

Tracking your revenue cycle is only the first step. The right KPIs can show you where revenue is being delayed, lost, or left uncollected—and where your billing service should be making a measurable difference.

Here are 9 RCM metrics worth watching:
1️⃣ Days in A/R
2️⃣ Clean Claim Rate
3️⃣ Denial Rate
4️⃣ Net Collection Rate
5️⃣ First-Pass Resolution Rate
6️⃣ Charge Capture Rate
7️⃣ Patient Collection Rate
8️⃣ Claims Submission Speed
9️⃣ Cost to Collect

🎯 Why do these numbers matter?
Because averages can hide problems. A practice may look healthy overall while one payer, service line, or denial category is quietly pulling performance down.
The key is knowing your baseline, your benchmark, and which levers your billing team can actually influence. 🔎

💡 Don’t try to fix all nine at once. Start with the KPI furthest from its target and address the underlying workflow causing the gap.

📖 Read the full blog to see the benchmarks for all 9 RCM KPIs—and where to start if your numbers are slipping.

Today is World Patient Safety Day

Every patient deserves care that is safe, coordinated, and centered around their needs.

This World Patient Safety Day, we’re joining the global call for “Safe care for life!”—with a focus on making care safer for people living with noncommunicable diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, cancer, and chronic respiratory conditions.

For patients managing long-term conditions, safety matters at every step:

✔️ From prevention and early detection
✔️ To accurate diagnosis and treatment
✔️ To medication safety and ongoing monitoring
✔️ To clear communication and coordinated care

Patient safety is everyone’s responsibility. When patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals work together, we can help reduce avoidable harm and create better, safer care experiences.

🧡 Today, let’s continue building a healthcare system where safe care is part of every patient’s journey—throughout life.

If MIPS has been sitting on your “I’ll get to it next week” list, you’re not alone.

There’s always something more immediate in the practice.

A prior auth that needs attention. A couple of callouts that throw off the schedule. Charts to finish. Patients to get back to.

And when December feels far away, MIPS can be easy to push aside.

But there are a few dates worth knowing now—while there’s still time to do something about them.

For example, Improvement Activities require 90 continuous days. For 2026, that means getting started by October 3 if you want them to count this year.

If you missed the earlier window for Promoting Interoperability, there may still be another path forward through a hardship application.

We put together 3 slides to make it easier to see what’s still on the table, what deadlines have passed, and what you can focus on now.

Because we know the reality of running a practice: you don't need another thing adding to your plate. You just need to know what actually needs your attention—and when.

So if MIPS has been on the back burner, this might be a good week to take another look. Pick a couple of activities, get started, and give yourself one less thing to worry about later.

QPP links are in the comments.

And if your practice has found a simple way to stay on top of MIPS without letting it become a year-end scramble, we'd love to hear what’s working for you. We’re all trying to make this a little easier. 💬
