Todays Tip: If you get a pop up that tells you your computer is infected with a virus and your details are being sent to Microsoft odds are you have been hit with a malware that is a persistent browser code. ~DON"T PANIC!!!!!~ DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER ON THE SCREEN OR CLICK "OK"!!!!!! To eliminate it is simple. Hit , this will bring up a menu where you can open task manager. click on task manager and close the affected browser. Now open the network settings (most likely in the lower right hand of your screen) and select "Airplane mode". Now if on wireless disable the wireless or if plugged in to a network disconnect the cable. This code has turned your computer into a client and is broadcasting your keystrokes to their "evil" server. You will not be able to browse, check email or skype until you disconnect from that server. Log out. Log back in, this will clear the connection. open your browser which should tell you no network available. This is a good thing for now as you have disconnected from the "evil" network. Go to your browser settings (in MS Edge it is the three dots in the upper right hand side of the browser window). Find and select the menu item called "settings" you will find a button to clear the cache. Select everything (click all the buttons in the clear cache area) clear the cache. I generally do it twice just to be sure, it does not take long and it makes me feel better. Close the browser. Go back to the network settings either plug in or select the wireless that you were using and disconnect from Airplane mode. You should be good to go. Go ahead and start browsing emailing and skyping away. I know this is a pain but it beats the alternative of calling me or my competitors that charge way more than I do.
