I found this awesome Americana cross stitched piece commemorating our 200th, of course I had to give it a new home. I also thought I would share this rug I hooked awhile ago and never shared. It is four small mats I hooked individually and then sewed together to make one rug. I named it America Divided.

Here is what I have been up to lately, playing with my stash of old quilt scraps to make some pins and necklaces for the Searsport Hook-in and getting some flowers planted. Have you ever planted the purple pom pom flowers? I planted them last year and loved them, they love full sun, tolerate heat and last into fall and are so pretty!

I finally have my One Flag pattern hooked. The quote is based on a poem called "Voyage of the Good Ship Union," by Oliver Wendell Holmes, which was published in 1871.

The pattern measures 30" X 20" and I will post the link in the comments.

I just got back this weekend from teaching for the James River Rug Hookers! I had such a great group and many of them did primitive rug hooking for the first time! Can't wait to see the rugs finished!

Thanks so much for your patience these past few months. It's been a hectic time between my dog's health issues, teaching, and preparing for up coming events. I didn't mean to disappear from Facebook and Etsy--life just needed my attention for a bit.
With that said, I'm happy to share my Etsy shop, Baskets of Wool, will reopen tomorrow evening, April 16th through May 15. After that, I'll be closing again for a few months to recharge, and focus on new patterns and dyed wool for future events.
In case you haven't heard , I'll be a vendor at the Searsport Hook-In in Columbia SC, July 21-23. I am excited to bring my hand-dyed wool and original patterns--and will debut some new patterns and colors of wool. I am looking forward to connecting with old friends and making new ones.
Even while the shop is closed, I will try and do better about posting on social media and share updates along the way of what I am working on. Stay tuned!

I have had quite a few inquiries about my background on Mr. Blue Eyes. The majority of the background is called Lake Bass, it is a heathered gray green and was a wool from The Wool Studio. I do have some of it available, but not the noodles I mixed in with it. If you are interested in some, send me a DM, but I am sure some of you might have it in your stash already, so thought I would share.
