Our IT services are designed to protect business data, increase productivity, and leverage technology. Our managed IT services are designed for each business, much like having an outsourced IT department. We also offer IT consulting, cybersecurity, and compliance services, as well as IT audits. We work best with small businesses with at least ten employees and support the networks of lawyers, accountants, professional service providers, healthcare providers, financial service providers, insurers, real estate, and manufacturers. Our IT infrastructure services include infrastructure design and audits, VoIP business telephone systems, structured cabling, and building backbone infrastructure design.

N is for Network Segmentation.

Not every device should be able to talk to every other device. Network segmentation separates systems so one issue does not spread everywhere. Guest Wi-Fi, servers, workstations, cameras and sensitive systems should not all live in the same open space. Good segmentation can turn a major breach into a much smaller problem.

M is for MFA.

Multi-factor authentication is still one of the best security upgrades a business can make. It adds another check beyond the password, like an app prompt, security key or biometric verification. It is not perfect, but it makes stolen passwords much less useful.

L is for Least Privilege.

People should have access to what they need to do their job. Not everything else too. Least privilege keeps accounts, apps and systems from having more permission than necessary. It is one of the simplest ways to reduce risk, and one of the most common things we see drift over time.

K is for Keylogger.

A keylogger is malware that quietly records what you type. Passwords, credit card numbers, private messages, all of it. It often arrives through a malicious attachment, a bad download or a compromised device, and it can run for weeks without anyone noticing. Endpoint protection, regular updates and MFA all help limit the damage.

J is for Jargon.

Cybersecurity has a lot of acronyms. MFA, EDR, XDR, SOC, SIEM. It is easy to tune out when the conversation turns into alphabet soup. But behind most of those terms is a simple question about how your business is protected. If your IT partner cannot explain your security in plain English, it is fair to ask them to try again.

I is for Incident Response.

When something goes wrong, the first few hours matter. Incident response is the plan for who gets called, what gets shut down, what evidence gets saved and how the business communicates while the issue is being handled. The middle of an emergency is a bad time to figure that out.

H is for Human Error.

Most security problems do not start with a movie-style hacker scene. They start with a rushed click, a reused password, a file sent to the wrong person or an approval that should have been questioned. Training helps, but so do better defaults, clear processes and tools that catch mistakes before they turn into incidents.

G is for Governance.

Security works better when someone owns it. Governance is how a business decides who is responsible for security decisions, how risk gets reviewed, what policies matter and how exceptions are handled. Without that structure, security turns into a pile of good intentions that no one has time to follow up on.

F is for Firewall.

A firewall helps control what traffic is allowed in and out of your network. That sounds basic, but a misconfigured firewall can leave services exposed that should never be public. Rules should be reviewed, old exceptions should be removed and logs should not be ignored. Following along with the series?

E is for Endpoint Security.

Every laptop, desktop and mobile device is a possible doorway into your business. Endpoint security helps watch those devices for suspicious activity, malware, risky apps and signs that something is off. It is not about making work harder. It is about making sure one compromised machine does not become a company-wide problem.
