Hacking, why should I worry?
Just because you think you might not be a big target is no reason to dismiss cybersecurity. If your system gets compromised, the results can be devastating. As an individual you might loose all your data, personal pictures, legal documents, etc. You may get hit by ransomware. Your identity could be stolen. You have a copy of your taxes on your computer? What about a W-2? What about Bank logins.
On the other hand, if you have a business and get compromised, not only will you incur a major loss, but you may be subject to lawsuits for not protecting your customer's information and may be liable for damages. This may be 10's of thousands of dollars or more depending on the type of business.
When you think about, it makes sense to protect yourself and your data now instead of dealing with the consequences later.
