Same vehicle. Different networks. 🔌
Not every module talks the same way. Your ECM and TCM need fast, reliable data, so they run on CAN-BUS. Your windows, mirrors and seats don't, so many of them run on LIN-BUS.
🟠 CAN-BUS: two wires (CAN-H / CAN-L), multiple nodes on the same bus, common speeds of 125, 250 and 500 kbps.
🔵 LIN-BUS: one signal wire plus power and ground, one commander coordinating several responders, typically up to 20 kbps.
Why it matters in the bay: when you know which network a module lives on, you know how to test it. Identify the network, analyze the communication, and avoid replacing parts that aren't the problem.
