It's been a long time since we could say we've been THIS busy! Our schedule is currently booked over 2.5 weeks out, and our standby list seems to grow longer by the day.

And while the workload has been overwhelming at times, we truly couldn't be more grateful. ❤️

One of the biggest blessings has been hearing HOW our customers found us.

"My neighbor recommended y'all!"

"We just moved to town, and someone at the gas station told us to call you!"

"A friend of ours said you're the people to go to!"

THAT right there means more to us than you could ever imagine. The fact that our customers think enough of us to recommend our little business during everyday conversations is something we will never take for granted. Word of mouth has always been one of the greatest compliments we could receive, and it's because of YOU that we continue to grow.

With that being said, we do want to share a gentle reminder. ❤️

Please be patient and kind to our team.

We understand that projects have deadlines, things come up unexpectedly, and sometimes you just need something done sooner rather than later. Trust us, we wish we could accommodate everyone immediately!

But behind every phone call, every appointment, and every installation is a real person working incredibly hard to keep things moving.

When we're asked to squeeze in just one more job or have our technicians work additional hours, that time often comes at the expense of their evenings, their families, and their much needed rest. Our guys have been putting in some long, hard days, and we believe they deserve that time outside of work just as much as anyone else.

We are a small business with a hardworking team, not an unlimited workforce. We take pride in what we do, and we never want to sacrifice the quality of our work just to rush through another job.

We strongly encourage reaching out 4–6 weeks in advance whenever possible. This gives us the opportunity to properly plan, coordinate, and give your project the time and attention it deserves.

This is a great video if you're ever wondering the difference between Mini-LED and OLED.

We have come to find it truly depends on environment, daily viewing hours, and what you're doing on the TV. You have to take those all into account to figure out what fits your lifestyle.

This guy gives great information though minus his sales pitch in the middle of the video, but over all, very solid feedback.

📅 A Friendly Scheduling Reminder!

We are incredibly thankful to be staying busy and serving our Georgetown community! ❤️

As you start planning your upcoming projects, we wanted to give everyone a quick heads-up on our current scheduling:

🏠 In-Home Consultations: Approximately 2 weeks out
🔧 Installations: Approximately 2½–3 weeks out

If you have a new TV, home audio project, pre-wire, upgrade, or installation you're hoping to have completed by a certain date, please plan ahead and contact us early!

We always want to accommodate our customers whenever possible, but our calendar has been filling up quickly. Getting your consultation scheduled early gives us plenty of time to discuss your project, prepare your quote, order any necessary equipment, and reserve your installation date.

Today, I was going through our websites: updating things, making changes, and just giving everything a good look over, when I came across this article from 2012.

It stopped me in my tracks.

I understand that social media for businesses is usually a place to showcase the work we do, the products we sell, and the projects we're proud of. But every now and then, I like to share something a little closer to the heart.

Because sometimes, in the middle of the day to day, I think we forget why we started, why we're still here, and what got us here in the first place.

None of us are perfect. We're human, and believe it or not, humans make mistakes. Sometimes I think it's easy to walk through the doors of a family owned and operated business and forget that behind the name, the phones, the service calls, the invoices, and the installations is exactly that....a family. A group of people doing their best to carry on something that means far more to us than simply running a business.

One thing that has always remained at the core of Georgetown TV & Audio is this:

No matter how frustrated we've gotten, how difficult things have been, or how many times someone may have wanted to throw in the towel, we're still here.

We're here because this company started as a dream for Deteff.

It was a dream he traveled a very long way for. A dream he worked incredibly hard to build. A dream important enough for him to move his entire family and create a life around it.

And now, it's a legacy we have the privilege and responsibility of continuing.

This article from 2012 shares a little bit of his story and some of the reasons behind what he built. Reading it all these years later is a reminder that Georgetown TV & Audio has never just been about TVs, speakers, wires, or installations.

It's about the people, the relationships, the community, the family, and the years of work that brought us here.

Things change. Technology changes. Georgetown changes. We change.

But there's one question that still finds its way into our heads when we're faced with a decision, a challenge, or one of those days when nothing seems to go quite right:

"What would Deteff do?"

And I think as long as we're still asking that question, a piece of him will always be right here with us.

❤️ 22 YEARS. ❤️

For 22 years, Georgetown TV & Audio has had the privilege of doing what we love and serving a community that has supported us every step of the way.

We’ve watched technology change more times than we can count. We’ve gone from big, heavy TVs to TV's that hang on the wall and look like artwork. We’ve watched homes become smarter, Wi-Fi become a necessity, and home entertainment turn into something we never could have imagined when we first started.

But through all of that change, one thing has stayed the same...the people.

Over the years, we’ve been invited into thousands of homes. We’ve helped customers with their first big TV purchase, wired homes, returned years later to upgrade those same homes, and in some cases, had the privilege of helping the next generation of the same families.

We have met incredible people, heard countless stories, lost good customers due to time, solved some interesting problems, worked long days, made mistakes, learned from them, laughed a lot, and built relationships that have lasted far beyond a single installation.

When you’ve been in business for 22 years, you realize it was never really just about starting to provide for your own family, but you all....

It’s about the customer who remembers your name years later.
It’s about someone calling because they trust you to take care of their home.
It’s about seeing familiar faces walk back through the door.
It’s about referrals from customers who have been with you for years.
And it’s about knowing that a small local business was able to grow and keep going because its community chose to support it.

22 years brings a lot of memories. Different employees, different products, different technology, different seasons of life, but the same commitment to taking care of the people who put their trust in us.

To every customer who has purchased from us, trusted us inside your home, recommended us to a friend or neighbor, left us a review, stopped by the showroom, called us with a question, or simply supported our business over the years, thank you....

You have been part of our story.

Georgetown is the heart of our business, but the people in this community are what keep that heart beating. You have given us the opportunity to keep doing what we love, year after year, and there really aren’t words big enough to express what that means to us.

We’re incredibly grateful for the last 22 years, proud of how far we’ve come, and excited for all the homes, projects, people, and memories still ahead.

We think it's safe to say technology has come a LONG way. The picture quality on these 98" Sony TVs is absolutely phenomenal—and keep in mind, the X90L is from a previous model year!

That makes you wonder… imagine what this year's models look like! 👀
