Did you know Google can now surface public Instagram content in search results, while customers are increasingly using social platforms themselves to research businesses, products, and services.

That means what you say in your posts matters. Clear captions that answer real questions and describe what you actually do can help both people and search engines understand your content.

Social media isn't just about reaching your followers anymore. It's another opportunity to be found.

Think about the last time you chose a restaurant, contractor, doctor, or other business. Did you find them in one place and immediately make a decision?

Probably not.

Today’s customer journey might start with a Google search or AI recommendation, move to social media and reviews, and eventually end on your website with a call, contact form, or quote request.

That’s why measuring your online presence by website traffic or Google rankings alone can leave out a big part of the picture.

Every interaction is an opportunity to get noticed, build familiarity, and earn trust. The goal is to make sure all of those touchpoints are working together.

When was the last time you reconsidered LinkedIn as part of your social media strategy?

Hootsuite named LinkedIn one of the platforms to experiment with in 2026, and there are some good reasons why: Its audience is getting younger, video is creating new opportunities for engagement, and the platform has evolved well beyond job searches and company announcements.

For businesses, that means more opportunities to share expertise, put real people behind your brand, start conversations, and reach professional audiences with content that actually helps them.

Our take? You don't need to jump on every social media trend. But you should occasionally reconsider what you think you know about a platform.

LinkedIn may deserve another look.👀

If you only had one day this month to work on your marketing, one of the best places to spend it might already be on your website. 💻

Look at the places where potential customers decide whether to take the next step. Your contact page. Landing pages. Quote request. Sign-up form. Calls to action.

Then ask:
• Is the next step obvious?
• Are we asking for more information than we really need?
• Does the page answer the questions someone might have before reaching out?
• Is everything easy to use on a phone?

Sometimes generating more leads isn't about getting more people to your website. It's about making it easier for the people already there to take action.

When was the last time you looked at the older content on your website?

Creating something new is not always the best next move. Sometimes, the content you already have just needs attention.

As you review older pages, consider whether they should be:
🔄 Refreshed: The content is still useful, but the information, examples, SEO, or visuals need an update.
🗑️ Retired: The content is inaccurate, repetitive, or no longer relevant to your customers or your business.
🛠️ Rebuilt: The information is important, but the page itself is not doing its job. Updating the copy will not fix a confusing experience or broken customer journey.

Your website should not become a collection of everything you have ever published. Regular content maintenance keeps it useful, accurate, and aligned with the business you are today.

A content audit can help you prioritize what stays, what changes, and what goes.

Which email would you be more likely to open?

A: 5 Ways to Improve Your Website
B: Is Your Website Costing You Customers?

There is a reason to test subject lines that feel dramatically different from one another. A/B testing should do more than tell you whether changing a word helped. It can show you what kind of messaging actually gets your audience’s attention.

Try testing a question against a statement, a benefit against a feature, or a clear subject line against a clever one. You can also compare urgency, length, and tone.

The winning subject line may improve one email, but the bigger value is what it teaches you for the next one.

Which would you open: A or B?

If you're investing in digital ads, should your budget go to Facebook or Google? It depends on how your customers are finding you.

🔎 Google Ads are great for capturing intent. You're reaching people who are already searching for a product, service, or solution like yours.

📱 Facebook Ads are built for discovery. They help you reach targeted audiences who may be a good fit, even if they aren't actively searching yet.

For many businesses, the strongest strategy isn't choosing one over the other. It's understanding where your customers are in their buying journey and using the right platform to reach them at the right time.

Remember: Good digital advertising starts with the audience, not the platform.

Marketing is constantly changing, but somehow, outdated advice keeps finding its way into today’s conversations. 👀

Some of these myths sound reasonable at first. More website traffic must mean more customers, right? And surely your business needs to be active on every social platform to stay visible, doesn't it?
When these ideas are treated as universal rules, they can lead to wasted time, money and effort.

So, which marketing myth would you retire for good?

◽ More traffic always means more customers.
◽ You need to be on every social media platform.
◽ Your homepage is the only page that matters.
◽ AI will replace marketers.

Have another marketing myth that needs to go? Drop it in the comments. We’d love to hear it.
