Is your Honda CR-V factory backup camera stuck in one view after installing an Android radio?

For some 2015–2016 Honda CR-V 2.4L high trim models, the factory multi-view camera button may not appear until the CR-V HighConfig protocol is selected for the CAN021-R radio harness.

Note: update system firmware first.

This only works if your original factory radio already had the backup camera view-switching feature.

Will the factory LaneWatch camera and Backup camera still work after upgrading the radio on a 2015 2016 Honda CR-V Touring?

In this customer install clip, the ViaBecs radio is tested with the factory right-side camera, backup camera, and camera button controls. The Lanewatch camera responds well, the reverse camera still comes on, and the customer notes only a small delay compared with the factory camera.

If your CR-V has the navigation head unit, LaneWatch, or factory subwoofer, check your OEM radio type before ordering.
