If you have historical items in your collection, think about donating them to a museum! My neighbor was one of the teachers and gave this book to my father as he had no children. We scanned and passed it onto the town museum. ~Dawn

Happy graduation to Cedarburg High School and all students ending their Spring 2026 classes! I'm doing something a little different today since we just received this Cedarburg School Daily Register from 1879 to 1883 (Before the Lincoln Building!). Names like Moldenhauer, Ernst, Gall, Schultz and many more appear as attendance records. Towards the back are locals and superintendents who visited the school as well. Thank you to Dawn Overbye for not only the donation but also scanning each page of the register! (she and her son run a company that does all that scanning). As you can imagine we see peoples lives, history, joy and tragedy. One family tragedy was the death of a young soldier in WWI. I had seen letters of the joy of his birth, the black and white photos of him as a baby, child and then young man. The newspaper clippings of his enlistment, of him missing in action and then his death. Then the letters of agony from his mother and other family members. May all those who protected our country rest in peace and their families hold close the sweet memories.
