Here's another thing I get asked all the time. "Do I need a new computer?" Well, that's usually a pretty easy question actually. Most people ask it because their computers have gotten slower over the years, and they think it's time for a new computer. But, 9 times out of 10 the problem is simply that Windows has gotten bogged down by 3rd party programs, viruses, malware, spyware, or any other application that runs at startup. You see, except for very rare instances of a specific type of hard drive failure, it is simply impossible for a computer to slow down due to hardware. You have to think to yourself "Was this PC fast when I first got it new?" If the answer is yes, then a good Windows cleanup/virus removal is just the thing to perk that PC right back up. Sometimes, it's too far gone, and Windows will need to be reloaded. But this will also bring it back to life. There are times where no amount of help will speed up an old outdated computer, sometimes they're just too old to run Windows 7 or 8 well, and need retired. Those of you still running Windows XP need to be aware of this situation. XP is no longer supported from Microsoft, and will need a new Operating System to work safely, but some XP machines cannot run newer versions of Windows. This is a case where you will indeed need a new Computer. Remember, we do cleanups / virus removals all the time, and can help you anytime you need it!
