The wait is officially over.
After 2.5 years of careful reverse-engineering and fabrication, the new replica of the iconic Guarantee Savings G sign is taking its place back on our skyline.
What you need to know:
It features an upgraded, color-changing LED lighting system that will sync with the building for holidays and special events.
The original mid-century sign is being preserved and will live at the Big Fresno Fairgrounds sign collection.
Who’s ready to see it lit up?
Special shout out to for taking pride in the restoration of their building.

Looking for Saturday plans?

We are especially excited for this one —we’re usually the ones behind the scenes, so getting to step out, pop-up as featured artists, we can’t wait!
If you love custom cars and La Bamba- is the place to be tomorrow from 5 to 10 PM.

Bring the family, grab some food, check out the art, buy some merch and stick around to watch the movie under the stars at 7:30 PM.

Hella Fresno was awarded the Activate It Award 2026 from the Downtown Fresno Partnership, along with official recognition from the State Assembly.
It’s dope to see the city recognizing the movement, but let’s be real; this isn’t about the paper in the frame.

Big shout out to the 80+ artists we’ve worked with—you are the ones behind the scenes, painting after your 9-5 , staying up late to finish a piece & every opportunity and relationship that’s helped us transform downtown locations into galleries and every one of YOU who continues to shows up and keep the culture alive.
We don’t just hang art; we’re here to activate the streets and make sure our community of artists gets the shine they deserve.
2025 was a heater, but we started 2026 by shattering our own records for the biggest artist lineup and deepest crowds yet, so set your notifications, our shows are one night only, various locations in downtown.

This is proof that when you truly ‘Activate It’ for the artists, the whole state feels the movement!

The High-Speed Rail project is more than a logistical delay; it is causing irreparable damage to the culture and livelihoods of Fresno’s most resilient entrepreneurs.
Standard environmental reports can measure carbon, but they cannot gauge the erosion of community and the regression of our historic corridors into permanent construction zones.
It is impossible to claim “economic progress” while systematically destroying the businesses the tracks cross over.
This wasn’t a necessity; it was a political maneuver that prioritizes future commuters over the blood, sweat, and “grit” of the downtown hustlers who continue everyday to build up our city’s identity.

Please go out of your way to support Downtown businesses this year. With the Fresno Street underpass and nearby roads closed, we recommend planning ahead. Consider using the Tulare underpass, approaching from the east, or cycling to avoid construction and meters—just remember your bike lock!
