What happens when warehouse managers don't give much thought to battery-charging infrastructure until after the warehouse is built? They discover how enormously expensive and disruptive it is to set things right.
Fleet charging is principally an uptime question, and operators who figure that out early are running very different operations than those who donโt. Of course, battery charging is an equipment question, too: Warehouses need enough battery chargers, with the right capacities and capabilities, to power their fleets of forklifts, AGVs, AMRs, and what have you.
To avoid the sin of vehicle downtime, warehouse managers need to plan the facilityโs battery-charging infrastructure at the design stage. Delta Electronics experts Caleb Conrad and Sven Mayer lay it all out in this just-published Supply & Demand Chain Executive article: https://bit.ly/3Qn9Wqz.
