Orases Custom software and AI solutions to reach your vision. We’re craftsmen and craftswomen. We’re here to reach our clients’ vision.

We build unique software that transforms organizations, and we’re passionate about the impact we have on our partners and they have on the world -- because both technology and our clients can and will do things we can’t even imagine. We start by understanding an organization and its needs, then we build a custom solution in a radically open, communicative process. We commit to the long-term, building tools that are flexible and scalable, because technology is never static and neither are we. We are radical about our innovation, transparency, and empathy -- and grounded in our experience, commitment, and expertise.

We’re excited to share some BIG news: Orases has been named to the Fortune Best Workplaces in Technology™ list! 🎉

This is especially meaningful because it’s our first time receiving this recognition. We’re grateful for the recognition of the workplace culture we’ve built at Orases, but we’re most proud of the people behind it. Our team is what makes Orases a great place to work, where people can grow, collaborate, and do their best work.

Fortune partnered with Great Place to Work® to develop the list, analyzing survey feedback from 144,000 U.S. employees in the technology industry. Congratulations to the entire Orases team! 🦬

We’re always proud to see our team members sharing their expertise beyond Orases, and this one is especially worth a listen.

Our Director of Operations, Kat Murphy, recently joined Brett Harned to discuss the changing role of project management in the age of AI. With Kat leading teams across custom software and AI projects, she brings a valuable perspective on how project managers can adapt while staying focused on the human side of the work.

Kat will continue that conversation at the Digital PM Summit in Asheville later this month, and we’re excited to see her take the stage.

Give the conversation a listen, and if you’ll be at the DPM Summit, be sure to catch Kat’s session!

Kat Murphy talks AI, change, and what project managers should learn, delegate, and let go as the role continues to evolve.

AI experimentation is happening across organizations faster than many leadership teams can evaluate, measure, and scale what works. As more employees and departments find their own ways to use AI, organizations need a consistent way to evaluate use cases, measure outcomes, share what teams learn, and decide which successful initiatives are worth scaling.

In his latest Forbes Technology Councilarticle, Nick Damoulakis explores why standardization is the missing piece in many AI strategies and how organizations can create consistency around AI without limiting experimentation.

The organization has plenty of AI activity, but no system for turning it into organizational value.

Where does work get stuck?

Nick Damoulakis recently shared this perspective with Forbes Technology Council, emphasizing the value of looking across teams and workflows rather than optimizing one department in isolation.

For companies exploring AI, it’s a useful lens: look for the friction between teams, not just the loudest request for a new tool.

Taking a companywide view can help teams better understand how work moves across departments and where internal tools could provide the most value.

AI can accelerate development. New tools can modernize systems. More people can adopt AI. But none of that matters if the technology isn’t solving the right business problem.

That’s the focus of this month’s Orases Insights:

→ Why engineering expertise matters more as AI accelerates development.
→ What our growing Anthropic expertise means for the AI solutions we build.
→ How we helped the American Kidney Fund achieve a 125% increase in efficiency.

We spend our days building technology. For our annual retreat, we decided to unplug. 🔌

Our 2026 retreat, Orases Unplugged, gave our team a chance to step away from screens and the day-to-day and spend some real time together.

From team challenges and collaboration to music around the fire and plenty of laughs, the retreat was a chance to connect in a way that doesn’t always happen in our normal work environment.

Technology is at the heart of what we do, but our people are at the heart of how we do it.

ZERO.

That’s the number of midsize manufacturers that have fully operationalized AI, and it’s what Tyler Boykin, VP of Software Sales at Orases, put on the screen at the International Manufacturing Technology Show during his keynote, “The AI Trap: Why Most Manufacturers Fail and How the Best Ones Break Free.”

Tyler challenged manufacturers to look beyond AI adoption and ask what it actually takes to move AI into production.

Manufacturers are experimenting with AI, running pilots and investing in new tools. But turning those efforts into measurable results on the plant floor is where the real challenge begins.

Start with the problem. Measure the baseline. Find the root cause. Then determine where AI can make a difference.

The next phase of AI in manufacturing isn’t adoption. It’s ex*****on.

We’re grateful to IMTS for inviting Tyler to the stage and to everyone who joined him in Chicago for the conversation. 🦬

AI can write the code. But who decides if it’s the right code?

As AI makes software development faster and more accessible, engineering expertise becomes even more important. Aaron Diefes takes a closer look at what happens when everyone has access to the same tools and why the real advantage comes from knowing how to use them well.
