Today, we celebrate not just a system of government, but the enduring spirit of the Nigerian people—their resilience, courage, and belief that every voice matters.

Democracy is strongest when the rule of law prevails, when institutions are respected, when elections are credible, and when citizens have confidence that their participation can shape the future of their communities and our nation.

As we reflect on our democratic journey, let us recommit ourselves to the values of accountability, transparency, inclusion, peaceful engagement, and service to the people.

Our democracy may not be perfect, but it remains our collective responsibility to strengthen it for future generations.

May we continue to build a Nigeria where opportunity is expanded, justice is accessible, leadership is accountable, and every citizen can contribute meaningfully to national development.
