A recommendation and an order are not the same thing. One informs judgment. The other changes what happens next.

That distinction is at the center of a new Forbes byline from Xsolis Chief Medical Officer Dr. Heather Bassett.

As AI moves from generating answers to carrying work forward, Dr. Bassett argues that most AI strategies havenโ€™t caught up, and lays out what leaders need to define before deploying agentic systems: what actions an agent may take, how performance will be monitored, and who has the authority to pause or roll it back.

Itโ€™s National Case Management Week, and this yearโ€™s theme, Driving Outcomes, describes exactly what we see from the case managers weโ€™re lucky enough to work with every day.

Case management is often the quiet work behind a patientโ€™s care: coordinating across teams, catching what others miss, and making sure the right decision gets made at the right time, even when no oneโ€™s watching. Several of our own Xsolis team members came up through case management themselves, so we know firsthand how demanding, and how essential, that work is.

This week is also a good time to remember the case managers facing real hardship of their own while still showing up for their patients. Nominations are now open for the American Case Management Association's 2027 Case Management Hero Award, sponsored by Xsolis, honoring a case management or transitions of care professional who has faced significant personal struggle in the last 18-24 months while continuing to deliver exceptional care.

๐Ÿ“ฃ Nominations close November 27: https://app.smartsheet.com/b/form/019d6457663e7ab69033052f7795a2ee

To every case manager driving better outcomes for patients, thank you for all you do!

Only 10% of people feel truly in control of the technology they use at work.

A new Forbes feature by Edward Segal digs into that gap using new Logitech research, and Xsolis Chief Medical Officer Dr. Heather Bassett shares what leaders get wrong before rolling out new technology, and what to ask instead.

Being means showing up for the people you serve, even when you're not the one standing at the bedside.

Jessica Grenon isn't a nurse delivering care, but as a Project Manager on our client support team, she makes sure the people who are have everything they need to do it well.

Jessica embodies our mission in action โ€” finding purpose in the client's outcome, not just your own task list. This , we're recognizing Jessica and every member of our support team who brings that same passion to the work, every day.

Thank you, Jessica, and to our entire support team.

Utilization management leaders: ever feel like you're flying blind? You're not alone.

Kim Sinclair, System VP of Integrated Care Management at PeaceHealth, knows the feeling. Before her team gained real-time visibility into clinical data, that's exactly where UM stood.

In a new Becker's Hospital Review recap of our panel at Becker's IT + Revenue Cycle Conference, Kim joins Barbara Long of Kettering Health and Xsolis Chief Medical Officer Dr. Heather Bassett to share what changed: Kettering now reaches 95% of admissions within the first 24 hours, and PeaceHealth turned its exception reporting into a tool CFOs and chief nursing officers actually use to drive improvement.

For 25 years, speech-based health screening relied on having people read a structured paragraph aloud.

On the latest episode of AI Amplified, Henry O'Connell, CEO & Co-Founder of Canary Speech, told host and Xsolis Chief Medical Officer Dr. Heather Bassett why that approach was flawed: reading isn't the same cognitive act as speaking.

Once the team retrained their AI to analyze natural, conversational speech instead, diagnostic accuracy jumped from the low 60s into the 80s, a gap wide enough that they stopped analyzing words entirely.

It's Customer Service Week, and this year's theme is "The Extra Mile," something our teams live out every single day: supporting hospital systems through implementations, answering urgent calls from doctors and nurses, and working with payers to keep things moving.

That work is often invisible to the rest of the company, but it matters enormously to the people we serve. Healthcare doesn't pause, and neither do you.

Thank you for going the extra mile, today and always.

๐ŸŽฎ Last week, our team took a break from the day-to-day for a Virtual Game Show, and it was a blast!

Seven teams from across the org (Implementations, Marketing, Engineering, Clinical, and more) competed in Pictionary, charades, movie trivia, a typing speed test, rebus puzzles, and a Price Is Right-style guessing game.

The result? Hours of laughter, chaos, an incredible playlist, and some seriously stiff competition. Congrats to all seven teams for bringing the energy!

Moments like these remind us that connection across departments matters just as much as the work itself.๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ’›

Denial management usually gets framed as a hospital-versus-payer problem. Citizens Medical Center approached things differently.

By giving payers the clinical information they need upfront through Xsolis' GenAI Initial Review, Citizens Medical Center has changed the nature of those conversations entirely, spending less time on back-and-forth and more on substance.

The result = faster payer response times and a meaningfully lower denial rate.

The latest from a partnership that's spanned more than seven years, Citizens reiterates that the best AI implementations aren't static. They evolve over time, based on what clients and their vendor partners learn together.
