All jewelry and tools are autoclave sterilized.
Sadly there are no piercing regulations in North Carolina. The onus is on you to protect yourself and your children. If you are picking out and touching your jewelry before the piercing, it isn't sterile. All jewelry and tools should come out of sterile packs.
