Emotiva MC-700 receiver won't turn on? Or having troubles switching HDMI inputs? Issue is likely failing capacitors on the SMPS power supply. Capacitor C7 is a 47uF 25V and C18 is 470uF 16V. C18 looked obviously bulging on the top vent while C7 looked OK. Testing both caps in circuit showed questionable ESR. Removed from the board and both tested with far too high ESR. Replaced with Panasonic FR-series caps and upped C18 to a 25V rating. Issue resolved! Back to listening to hardbass!

Sometimes you stumble upon the strangest connections. This is a proprietary monitor output from an industrial PC (likely from Fakekanistan) somewhat resembling a legacy VGA. The connector utilizes 32 pins in three different sizes in a keyed -D-type shell.

Feit Electric triple outlet smart plug 2-pack with OpenBeken firmware flash, an alternative to using Feit's proprietary app and firmware. Three 120V 15 A outlets rated for outdoor use. All outlets are controlled together and not individually. Top mounted button to toggle power on and off with integrated blue status LED to indicate power status. Each outlet has a protective fitted cover to inhibit water and debris ingress.

Convenient right angle plug measuring 8" in length with strain-reliefs on plug and outlet body ends make for a durable design.

Features cloud-free operation with no proprietary app to install and free from the manufacturer's cloud. Each smart plug has been flashed with OpenBeken firmware and tested.
