🏆WEEZER LISTENING PARTY UPDATE AND TICKET GIVEAWAY🏆

Our advance listening party for Weezer’s Gold Album has been rescheduled to 2PM on Saturday, August 15! We’ll be playing the entire album a full week before its release date, and we’ll have posters, bumper stickers, patches and gold charms to give away to everyone that comes in!

Not only that, one lucky person at the end of the party will get a Weezer hoodie AND two tickets to see Weezer with The Shins and Silversun Pickups in Dallas on October 17!! Stay golden!

Like all of our listening parties, this event is free and open to the public, no purchase or ticket required. Giveaways are on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. The grand prize winner must be in attendance at the end of the party to claim their prize.

Thursday night is fast approaching! Here’s what you need to know for our Phoebe Bridgers Midnight Album Release Party:

1. The special white label vinyl is super limited, and we were able to secure 13 copies. If you’re interested, please RSVP at the link in our bio. We’ll be handing out tickets to the first 13 people in line who have RSVP’d to redeem at midnight.
2. We will also have the Rogue Planet vinyl and the album on CD for sale.
3. We’ll be opening doors at 10:30, with the album playback starting at 11:00. Everyone who comes in will get a free goodie.
4. Once the album is finished, one lucky person will receive a 7” of Lost Boys signed by Phoebe herself! You must RSVP to the party to enter.
5. There is a special gift with purchase with any version of Lost Weekend!
6. Some stores have received posters for sale. Unfortunately, we will not be offering the posters.

Zack here! Last week, I went to New Orleans to represent Record Town at the annual RSD Summer Camp conference. Aside from making friends with record store folks from across the country, I connected with labels, vendors, and distributors. I got the chance to preview some upcoming releases, see the latest in turntables and vinyl gear, and we laid the groundwork for some very exciting things for the store in the future.

Of course, the highlight was getting to meet Billy Idol and his longtime guitarist Steve Stevens, who were gracious enough to sign a poster for the store! I was also fortunate to see Chuck D of Public Enemy speak at the kickoff party and attend a night with Shooter Jennings, Elizabeth Cook, and BJ Barham of American Aquarium.

I ended up bringing back home with me a ton of new records and swag, some of which we’ll be giving away. Watch this space!
