- Maximum capacity under 80%
- (Settings → Battery → Battery Health)
- Ghost touching, or worse…
- The phone is bulging, front or back
- It dies the second you unplug it

None of those? You probably do not need one, and we will tell you straight.

The device probably isn’t damaged YET.
Power it off and leave it off. DO NOT CHARGE IT. Skip the rice, it does NOTHING but clog your charging port.

If you can get it to us fast. The sooner we open it and clean the board, the better your odds.

Otherwise, let the device air dry.
For DIY options, first remove the sim card, then you can either:

- use a hair dryer on low heat or cool
- put the device in a small food dehydrator on the lowest setting

Be sure to never let the device reach over 70 Celsius (Just too hot to touch)

Save this so you have it when it counts.
