AI isn't very regulated yet, but your industry is.

Before your team starts to (or continues to) put regulated information in a random AI chat, be sure to find a tool that can actually be compliant with the law. These tools don't meet the standards right out of the box.

Yes, even an enterprise-level version needs some tweaks to be compliant.

Cyber insurance isn't a strategy for saving you from security controls.

In fact, you probably can't get any cyber insurance without them. You need to have documented policies, MFA, tested backups and access controls in place at the least.

Not having them will get your claim denied, if you manage to get a policy in the first place.

Cyber insurance requires proof you're preventing the financial headaches cyberattacks cause.
