We’re looking for an Electrical Controls Engineer to support our Lafayette facility by leading electrical engineering projects, upgrading production equipment, and helping drive continuous improvement.
What you’ll do:
• Design and implement electrical upgrades for manufacturing equipment.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
• Support maintenance with electrical and electronic troubleshooting.
• Manage capital projects, equipment upgrades, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Help improve plant safety, efficiency, and overall performance.
What we’re looking for:
• A degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, or an associate degree with 5+ years of industrial manufacturing experience.
• Strong knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting, particularly Allen-Bradley systems.
• Experience with VFDs, HMIs, industrial electrical systems, and controls.
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills.

WE'RE HIRING: MACHINE OPERATOR – FORT WAYNE, IN

Rea Wire is looking for dependable, hands-on individuals to join our Fort Wayne manufacturing team as a Machine Operator!
New Start Pay:
• $24.00 hour + $0.75 schedule premium (just for 2-2-3 schedule)
• $24.50 at 90 days + $0.75 schedule premium (just for 2-2-3 schedule)
• $25.25 at 1 year + $0.75 schedule premium (just for 2-2-3 schedule)
As a Machine Operator, you will help produce wire products safely and efficiently while operating and maintaining production equipment. Responsibilities include:
• Set Up and Operate Machines
• Follow specifications for Insulation Wire
• Inspect Finished Products and Testing
• Maintain a clean work area
• Comply with PPE and Safety Requirements
Manufacturing experience, forklift experience, and experience with hand tools or measuring equipment are a plus.
Location: Fort Wayne, IN
$24.00 hr starting → $25.25/hr within the first year

Pay: starting at $25.00/hour and up to $30.00 within 1-2 years based on performance

We’re looking for an Enamel Operator to join our Lafayette team!
In this role, you’ll help keep our production process running safely and efficiently while ensuring our products meet quality standards.
What you’ll do:
🔹 Operate and maintain insulation equipment and ovens
🔹 Complete machine setups, changeovers, and start-ups
🔹 Perform quality checks and testing
🔹 Identify and document scrap wire and quality issues
🔹 Communicate equipment or maintenance issues
🔹 Prepare materials and finished goods
🔹 Maintain a clean and organized work area
🔹 Follow all safety procedures and company policies
🔹 Help train other Operators as assigned

Rea Magnet Wire once again showed up for the United Way Day of Caring, this year supporting McMillen Health!
Our team helped refresh the facility by cleaning windows, power washing sidewalks and signs, cleaning outdoor furniture, and picking up around the property.

McMillen Health is a local nonprofit that provides preventive health education to more than 90,000 students each year across Northern Indiana.
