Gobble Holler Ranch Cow/Calf operation in the Red River valley. Charolais mainly but we have Angus crosses too.

We ranch, we grow tomatoes and other veggies in our garden in the spring and summer.

Rocky and I were able to pull my F250 out of the icy area and I was able to get it home. All of the cows and calves were there cheering us on. I'm going to try and get to the post office today but I am first waiting for Ian to get back on his Mule. he went across yesterday and gave the cows some cubes so we're going to do it again today. It's supposed to get to 43 by noon so it's slowly getting better.

Finally got across the road and took a bale of hay across for them. They are ok but haven't got much water since the ponds are all frozen., Our neighbor Rocky Gates pulled my Toyota truck out of the snow and we got it back home but I had to leave the feed truck in place since I couldn't get the hay to come off.

Our main breed from 3 years ago is Red Angus. We'll be down to two white Charolais cows later this year. The Red Angus are easier to work with. and quite a few of the Charolais cows are getting old and will probably produce one or two more calves. The two that I'm keeping are 4 and 5 years old. If they live long enough i could get at least 8 more calves from them.
