Community Spotlight:
Meet LaRay Guerrero, IndigiTech-CEO

At IndigiTech, we do not just help Native communities, we are part of them. LaRay is an enrolled member of the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe and is Apache on his father’s side, and brings commitment to every part of his work. Beyond IndigiTech, LaRay is deeply committed to Indigenous community, culture, and wellness.

LaRay also serves as a Trustee for Texas Native Health and on the Board of Directors for IndigiCommunity, and is one of the organizers of the North Texas Powwow happening in Arlington, Texas on October 24.

As co-founder of Indigenous A.C.E., He actively shares Powwow dancing, art, culture, and education with community members across DFW, and serves on head staff at Powwows throughout Indian Country. This weekend, he is honored to serve as Head Judge at the Jena Band of Choctaw Indians Powwow, and in November, he will serve as Arena Director for the Austin Powwow.

We are proud of the impact he continues to make.

Here in Texas, today is recognized as American Indian Heritage Day, while states including California and Nevada observe Native American Day.
