The roundtables are the part of Dublin where you set the agenda.

Twelve topics run across both days in back-to-back sessions of 40 minutes, and you simply join the table of your choice, which means you walk away having picked four.

Facilitating them are people from the Central Bank of Ireland, FIU Latvia, Portuguese Customs, DETE and the United Nations, alongside practitioners from banking, industry and legal practice. The format is informal by design: you bring the case that has been sitting on your desk and work through it with peers who have faced the same thing.

The full list runs from China and Regulation 833 to OSINT for beneficial ownership, crypto restrictions, end-user risk and legal grey zones.

Which four would you pick? Tell us in the comments, we are curious to see which tables fill first.

β€œSanctions put flesh on the bone of foreign policy.”

That is how Ulf Melgaard, Ambassador of Denmark to the Netherlands, described the work at a past ACSS European Conference. His point was that compliance professionals need both things at once: the practical side, comparing notes with peers on how to do the job better, and the bigger picture of why sanctions exist and what they are meant to achieve.

Dublin is where both conversations happen. The ACSS European Conference on Global Sanctions and Export Controls runs 8-9 October 2026 at the Hotel Riu Plaza The Gresham.

Building expertise in sanctions compliance should not depend on whether you can clear two hours every week for a live class.

ACSS on-demand training is built for the opposite situation. Four self-paced courses, all expert led and fully online, that you can start anytime within four months of enrolling and finish at your own rhythm with up to one year of access.

Sanctions Foundations is where to begin if you are new to the field, covering global sanctions across OFAC, EU, UN and other key regimes in around six hours. From there, OFAC Essentials, EU Sanctions Essentials and UK Sanctions Essentials each go deep into a single jurisdiction across seven training hours.

Every course includes real case studies, a final assessment and a certificate on completion, and all of them count toward CSS accreditation.
