We recently wrapped up an exciting semester-long UX project with seven talented students—from freshmen to seniors. Many were taking on their first real-world design challenge outside the classroom. From sketches to high-fidelity designs, paired with field research that brought the industry to life, their fresh perspectives and efforts made a real impact. We're grateful for the opportunity to mentor them through the process, offering guidance and feedback that helped shape their growth as designers.

What an incredible weekend at Protospiel Indy 2026! 🎲✨

We had the joy of being the host sponsor for this year's event in Fishers, Indiana — and wow, did it deliver. A record 114 game designers and playtesters showed up, filling the room with creativity, laughter, and a whole lot of dice rolls.

Protospiel is where games are born. Literally. Some designers brought their very first rough prototype — ideas sketched onto cardstock, borrowed components, and big dreams. Others brought games that looked ready for store shelves. All of them brought passion.

Our favorite moment? Hearing designers talk about their iteration counts. One game was being playtested for the very first time that weekend. Another had gone through 700 versions. SEVEN HUNDRED. 🤯

And here's the thing — that's not unusual for a great product. It just rarely happens in the business world. Too often, products launch without ever being properly tested with real users. No concept testing. No usability studies. No feedback loops. Game designers instinctively know that testing makes their game better. Businesses that embrace that same mindset see the same results — and that's exactly what we help make happen.

That's the heart of what we do — and it's why we've been supporting this community since 2018. We're already counting down to 2027!

One of the most rewarding aspects of our work at GravityDrive is the opportunity to collaborate with students who are eager to make an impact. These partnerships allow us to mentor the next generation while benefiting from their creativity, curiosity, and unique perspectives.

In 2025, we had the privilege of working with 11 talented college students on research and design initiatives that expanded our work in the Landcare industry. Their fresh perspectives and dedication brought new energy to our projects, helping us explore innovative approaches to the challenges facing this vital sector.

As these students move forward in their academic and professional journeys, we're grateful for their hard work and inspired by what they've accomplished. We're excited to see where their talents take them next and proud to have played a small part in their development.
