Hello everyone,
I wanted to take a moment to talk about ransomware, a type of malicious software that can cause serious damage to your computer and your personal files. Ransomware is designed to lock you out of your files or computer until you pay a ransom to the attacker, often in the form of cryptocurrency.
Ransomware attacks have become increasingly common in recent years, and they can be incredibly damaging to both individuals and businesses. These attacks can result in the loss of important data, financial losses, and even reputational damage.
To protect yourself from ransomware, it's important to always keep your computer's operating system and antivirus software up to date. Be cautious when opening email attachments or clicking on links, and avoid downloading software or files from untrusted sources.
If you do fall victim to a ransomware attack, it's important to not pay the ransom. There is no guarantee that paying the attacker will result in your files being unlocked, and it only encourages further attacks. Instead, disconnect your computer from the internet and seek the help of a professional to remove the ransomware and restore your files.
If you have questions about how to protect yourself from ransomware or any other type potential malicious threats, please feel free to shoot me a message on FB or you can give me a call. My number is listed on our page.
Stay safe and stay vigilant!
