The Southeastern North Carolina Radio Reading Service is one of six Radio Reading Services throughout the State of North Carolina. The counties we are responsible for include: Cumberland (where we operate), Bladen, Duplin, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Lee, Moore, Sampson, Scottland, (parts of) Richmond, Robeson, and Wayne. Our organization has been established for more than twenty-five years and remai

ns the only service of its kind for this region of North Carolina. We own and operate a radio-station on the campus of Fayetteville State University (we function a separate entity, however) which broadcasts on a sub-frequency of UNC Chapel Hill. We reach a sixty-mile radius and with the help of volunteer-readers record and broadcast recreational and informational programs. Our primary focus is local and regional news-events from established newspapers.
