Have you heard about the Blue and Green Envelope Program? This program is designed to make traffic stops safer, calmer, and more effective for individuals with mental illness or autism.

🟢The Green Envelope Program is available to individuals diagnosed with a mental illness.
🔵The Blue Envelope Program is designed for individuals with autism spectrum disorder.

Both envelopes hold essential documents such as a driver’s license, registration, and proof of insurance that the driver would present to a police officer while on a traffic stop.

Drivers may request a green or blue envelope at any of the Revenue Offices in Arkansas. There is no documentation required to obtain the envelope.

Additional information about the program can be found here:

For more than 50 years, Buddy Hayes was a familiar face in Fayetteville. He was a musician, shoeshiner, veteran, community leader, and friend whose kindness crossed every line that often divided people during his lifetime.

Known for his trumpet playing and his integrated orchestra, Buddy brought people together through music and community. Fayetteville will honor his legacy with a park bearing his name in the neighborhood he called home.

Join neighbors, friends, and family as we celebrate the opening of Buddy Hayes Park and recognize a life that helped shape Fayetteville's story.

Opening Ceremony
• Wednesday, June 17 at 4:00 p.m.
• Buddy Hayes Park - across from the Yvonne Richardson Community Center

Friendly reminder from Tontitown PD:
The center turn lane is for turning, not for:
• Merging
• Passing
• Napping
• Running errands
• Reconsidering your life choices

We’re bringing this up again because someone recently asked about it on another post… which tells us our previous reminders may have been treated like optional reading.

Also, apologies for not posting last week we were busy recovering from the emotional trauma of a few mean comments. (Don’t worry, we’re fine now. Our sarcasm levels are back to operational strength.)

So here it is, louder for the folks in the back:
It’s. A. Turn. Lane. For. Turning.

Please use it responsibly. Our officers’ blood pressure and the rest of the motoring public thanks you.
