Here's something most of us never check: whether fiber internet is available at your address. Plenty of households are still paying for cable out of habit, when fiber can offer faster downloads, stronger uploads for video calls and remote work, more consistent speeds during peak hours, and often a lower monthly bill.

I'm a neighborhood internet advisor, and I help folks across North Carolina compare what's actually available at their exact address. Many of the people I work with save about $30 a month or more, and some just end up with much better service for the same money.
