Free Geek of Arkansas Free Geek Arkansas is a nonprofit organization providing free access to and eduction in technology. We also upcycle, recycle and refurbish electronics.

Free Geek Arkansas (FGAR) accepts donations of electronics from the community at large. The donations are tested and sorted into four categories: Reuse, Refurbish, Repurpose, Recycle. Reuseable and Refurbished items are sold in the Thrift Store. Volunteers build computer towers from “Repurposed” parts. Others, diagnose and repair computers and other electronics using “Repurposed” parts. Volunteer

s also teach each other, share knowledge while working at FGAR. When customers come in with a problem, one of our volunteers will teach/show the customer how to diagnose and fix their problem, at no charge, unless they need parts. If a customer doesn’t want to learn, we charge an hourly fee for service plus parts. Last, but not least, FGAR gifts computers and service to other nonprofits and individuals who have a need and who would not otherwise have access to the technology.

We also have a bunch of large TV's, speaker setups, and more!!! Students in new apartments, first time home buyers, or a bedroom upgrade are all a perfect excuse to come and see us!
