We are seeing an uptick in the number of email attacks that people are getting lately, specifically a type of attack called Spear-Phishing. This type of attack is typically highly personal and appears to come from a trusted colleague or business. They are an effort to steal sensitive info like login credentials or financial information which is used to commit fraud, identity theft, etc.
As with all other types of SPAM, use common sense before opening attachments or clicking on links in email messages that you are not expecting or are out of what you think would be normal.

This new little device is very intriguing to me. Still trying to understand completely how it works. Will definitely have to ping some of my electrician friends to understand it more. This is a big deal folks. This along with the announcement from HBO yesterday that in 2015 it will begin selling subscriptions for its content without the need for a cable subscription could mean the end of all in one shopping for cable content is coming to an end. The ability to pick and choose the programming you want will be huge for the consumer. Now, if and the would get behind this, it would gain traction very quickly. Here's to hoping consumer choice becomes more readily available.
