🔐 Cyber Tip Monday
Scammers don't just hack technology—they manipulate people.
One of the biggest red flags of a scam is pressure. Scammers want you to react emotionally instead of thinking clearly.
Watch for these common tactics:
🚩 They rush you.
"Act now or you'll lose your account!"
🚩 They threaten you.
They may claim you'll be arrested, lose your benefits, or owe money immediately.
🚩 They shame or intimidate you.
Scammers try to make you feel embarrassed or afraid so you'll comply without asking questions.
🚩 They insist on secrecy.
If someone tells you not to contact your bank or family, it's a major warning sign.
💡 Cyber Tip: Slow down. Verify before you act. Legitimate organizations won't pressure you into making immediate payments, buying gift cards, or sharing passwords or verification codes.
Share this tip with a parent, grandparent, friend, or colleague—it could help protect them from becoming the next victim.
