If they are properly trained on how to identify phishing emails, phishing scams can stop with employees. There are a few tell-tale signs to identify phishing emails. Their layout is different in appearance than typical work-related emails. Misspelled names, words and inconsistent formatting are additional red flags. If the sender's email address does not appear to be work-related, there's a good chance that it isn't. If anything about an email message looks suspicious, do not open it and do not click on a link or attachment. When in doubt, delete!
