I have over 14 years experience in computer technical support, and generally enjoy helping people with personal computer problems. Here are my areas of expertise:
1. Repair of all major Windows personal computers (XP, Vista, 7)
2. Support and installations
3. Most major brands of personal printers.
4. Most major brands of personal networking equipment including cabling
5. Building new computers to
your personal preferences. Going rates for repair are generally as follows:
1. General computer questions or concerns are free. I do reserve the right to determine what is free and what would lead into a charged service. I will inform you that something will be charged before hand. But if you have one or two general questions, I don't mind helping you out.
2. Increase computer performance: $20 unless it is determined that the only way to increase performance would be to install a new computer part or the cause of the performance issue is a virus. If you need a new part it will turn into $40 plus cost of part. If there is a virus it turns into $60 to remove it.
3. Installing or replace hardware: $40 for labor plus the price of the parts.
4. Removing virus, malware or other nasty bugs: $60
5. All above costs are only if you bring the computer to my shop. If you need me to come to you, I charge $25 transportation fee. As you all may know, gas ain't cheap right now.
6. If I can't fix it, then I don't charge you for the repair. If I'm at your house, transportation fee still applies.
