For all of you smokers out there, be sure to clean your PC at least every other month. I have seen computers catch fire several times due to build up of tar and ni****ne on video cards and CPU heatsinks. Keeping it clean will also allow it to cool better and run faster. Heat is the enemy and a clogged CPU heatsink will slow down your performance. Clean regularly or at least don't smoke around your PC. Friendly advice from your Computer Guy, LLC.

I have been getting calls lately about Bitlocker wanting an encryption key to allow you to boot into Windows. This is coming from a Windows Update. If this happens to you, use another device and log into your Microsoft account. There you should be able to find your encryption key. It is 64 characters long! Put that in and you should be able to log into Windows normally. Take care.

FYI: If you start opening your Browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.) and your Windows Defender alerts you to a threat, namely "Hive.zy". It is not a threat. It is a false positive. Go to Windows Update and update your Windows Defender definitions and it will fix the problem. Microsoft knows about this issue and has resolved it in the new definitions update.

Since video cards are so expensive at this time, he opted to use his own video cards that he already had in his old Alienware PC (2 Geforce TITAN PCI-E cards). Here are the rest of the specs....

Even with the older video cards this thing is a beast and beautiful to look at as well!! Multicolor LED lighting on case and Liquid Cooler Radiator really light this up spectacularly!

Windows 11 is now available. Not all computers can run 11. To check to see if you are capable of running 11, in Windows 10 go to "Settings" then to "Update and Security". In the "Windows Update" section you should see a box that says either "You are ready to install Windows 11" or "this PC is not compatible with Windows 11". If you don't see a box with either, run Windows Update until there are no more updates to install. If it is still not there, give it a few days and it should appear. Chances are though, that if it is not there then you are not compatible. Windows 11 is a free upgrade. I have been running it for over 2 weeks and so far it's been good. It does have a different look about it and it takes some getting used to. I have found a way to make it look more like 10 but the "Start" menu is still in the 11 style. Not sure if I like all the changes but there are some that I like. Overall, in my experience so far, it's not a necessary upgrade. 10 will be around for awhile. End of support is scheduled for 2025. So if you don't want the change, don't do it. If you have any questions on Windows 11 please feel free to contact me and will gladly go over any of your questions or concerns.
