My family and I moved to the Rio Grande Valley about 6+ years ago to serve as missionaries. I've been serving in missions with my primary

role being an IT Director for Rio Grande Bible Ministries.

We decided to start up Rio Grande Valley Tech Help to provide a large range of services to individuals, ministries, churches and businesses providing Managed Endpoint Protection services, hardware support, software support, malware removal, wireless network planning and installation, cable network planning and installation and more. Please consider contacting me the next time you are in need of tech support.

I appreciate you taking the time to visit us and I look forward to serving you in the future.

Thank you,

Have you ever been visiting web sites and out of nowhere you get a message saying "Access to this PC has been blocked for security reasons. Contact Windows support:"

DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT call the number, the situation may feel like this picture.

There is a simple way to unlock your computer. Press Control-Alt-Delete at the same time. Your screen will change with some options on it. Click on Task Manager.

You will see your desktop again with the task manager open. In the task manager click on the browser you were using and click "End Task" on the bottom right side of the task manager.

Unfortunately, I hear of people falling victim to this scam all the time.

If you find you need assistance remember to contact RIO GRANDE Valley Tech Help for support.

I recently made a purchase on Amazon and soon after received an automated phone call (supposedly) from Amazon. It said someone had recently attempted to purchase a new iPhone at around $1000. I was to click 1 if I did not attempt to purchase the item and 2 if I did purchase the item. I clicked 1 and it took me to a person who wanted to ask me questions. I didn’t waste any time with them since I knew this was a scam. But it is a convincing scam since I had recently purchased an item on Amazon.

I just wanted to share this with you so that this scenario is fresh with you and may come to mind when you receive a phone call attempting a similar scam. Just hang up and go to the website of the company that is involved in your scenario, to go through the proper channels there if you are really concerned about a possible attempt to use your account. Don’t give random callers ANY information.

Amazon for instance has a section to report these instances to help prevent further attacks in the future. Please report when possible.

These types of scams are always increasing and getting more sophisticated. Especially during the holiday season.
