Today, we find ourselves especially grateful for Steve Trissell and Trissell Consulting. Our association with Steve has been a cornerstone since the inception of Sharon Real Estate, PC in the spring of 2006. From the outset, Steve and his company laid the foundation for our computer networking and phone systems. Remarkably, our phone system remains fully functional today, thanks to Steve’s expert advice, maintenance, and service over the past 18 years, ensuring our computer systems are always up-to-date and running seamlessly.
Steve Trissell has a commendable history of service, having dedicated three years to the US Navy, including participation in Operation Deny Flight in the Mediterranean and Red Seas towards the end of Operation Desert Storm. In May of 1992, after completing his military service, Steve leveraged his benefits to attend Delaware Tech, where he earned a degree in Electronic Engineering. Following his graduation, Steve joined Data Services Inc in Salisbury, working primarily on a contract with Perdue Farms. During his tenure at Data Services, Steve attended Microsoft training schools and achieved the status of Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. This rigorous three-year training proved to be a significant catalyst in his professional journey.
Around 2005, Steve Trissell teamed up with Lary Jones to establish Automated Computer Concepts, setting up an office on Washington Street near WaWa. They successfully ran the business, focusing on telephone and computer systems. However, the "Great Recession" of 2008-2009 prompted the partners to part ways amicably. Steve went on to form Trissell Consulting, which allowed him the flexibility to use his home as an office and travel to client sites, thereby minimizing overhead and expenses. Trissell Consulting's niche lies in catering to small to medium-sized businesses that depend on computers and networking but lack a dedicated IT department. This approach has been highly effective for Steve. The COVID-19 era presented another opportunity, as business offices closed and remote work became necessary. Steve adapted by honing his expertise in remote diagnostics and repairs. Though he could now work entirely remotely, Steve values the personal relationships he has cultivated with his clients and continues to perform most of his work on-site.
Beyond networking solutions and hardware installations, Steve offers cloud-based storage solutions, web hosting, and email hosting. The cloud-based storage, in particular, was implemented primarily in response to the rising threat of ransomware attacks. This technology provides encrypted backup on-site at the server and off-site for additional security. It essentially snapshots the server three times daily, compiles, and sends the data to Steve's cloud once daily. At the end of each day, both sites have the same backup information. In the event of a catastrophic loss, Steve can restore all data within hours. Even if all hardware and equipment are lost due to fire or other circumstances, the data can be fully restored onto new equipment, making the company fully operational with all files retained within days. Five of Steve's clients have experienced ransomware attacks, and the three who were fully protected with Steve's cloud-based backup emerged unscathed.
To ensure optimal operations and efficiency, Steve offers his clients a Quarterly Maintenance Plan. This plan involves onsite visits where Steve updates computers, eliminates malware and viruses, and ensures that software prevention programs are in place. He also de-clutters systems to maintain peak performance and efficiency. Clients who opt for this maintenance program experience faster operating times and longer equipment lifespans. Speaking from personal experience, we at Sharon Real Estate avoid breakdowns and equipment failures, allowing us to remain fully functional and better serve our clients.
Steve is a detail-oriented perfectionist who continually researches advancing technologies to stay relevant in his field. Steve Trissell
