was thrilled to be invited to participate in a LinkedIn workshop for LeMoyne College's Erie 21 program as part of their Innovation Academy, a two-week program that provides career readiness with a technology focus.

Renee Dawalga, DUMAC's Talent Acquisition Specialist, worked with students 1:1, to find out about their career aspirations, draw out their amazing talents, and discuss what to include on their LinkedIn Profiles to make the profiles even stronger.

The Erie21 program is an initiative designed to address Syracuse's high poverty and regional employers' workforce needs by seeking employees with software and computer skills. Due to huge demand and success, Big Bunny Market recently upgraded to NCR Corporation's Self-Checkout 6L+ with from the Gen 5 models installed approximately 6 years ago!

And, due to the HUGE success of self-checkout the owners, Jon and Justin (Cournoyer) also opted to install 2 units in their Micknucks store location!

Micknucks is a smaller store primarily handling a lot of transactions, with fewer items per order. They occasionally would have two registers open, but mainly operated with one. Installing two SCOs along with their regular lane has allowed them to better serve their customers by having 3 lanes open at all times! With a very heavy lunch crowd (our very own Rory McCarthy is among the frequent sandwich buyers), and after-work rush - the Self-Checkout units have already been extremely beneficial to help get their customers in and out!
