History
The owner and founder of Leonard Enterprises, Patrick Leonard, has over 36 years of experience in the printing industry. His career in printing began in 1976, as an apprentice machinist with Austrian Machine Corporation that specialized in rebuilding and installing web press equipment throughout theUnited States. In 1982, Patrick joined the staff at W.F. Hall Printing Company of Georgia, to endeavor on the start up of the new company, which consisted of a fourteen-acre printing facility, six new Albert Franklenthal gravure printing press lines, and two Harris 72 pocket-gathering lines that produced large format catalogs. In 1985, he founded Leonard Enterprises, an independent service organization that specialized in repairing, relocating and installing sheet fed and bindery equipment worldwide. In 1999 as the company grew, he began purchasing and remarketing pre-owned printing equipment, and reconditioned Heidelberg Digital Presses. In 2003, Patrick formed a new partnership, Advanced Print Technologies, with two other industry veterans. As a result of this partnership, Leonard Enterprises served as the foundation for APT, contributing both employees, and clients, and Patrick was named Vice-president and Managing Partner. In 2008, after five successful years of growth, Patrick decided to sell his partnership at APT and return to Leonard Enterprises. Patrick desired a more “hands-on” approach, allowing him to interact on a more personal level with his customers. Today, his 36 years of experience in the printing industry has enabled him to lead Leonard Enterprises to be a supplier of quality, pre-owned printing equipment and parts, with both national, and international sales. Leonard Enterprises now specializes in reconditioned digital offset presses and parts, while maintaining its traditional commitment to repairing, remarketing and installing all types of printing equipment worldwide.
