Are you having a hard time finding poly furniture right now? There are two driving forces, the first was Covid-19 back in Spring of 2020 and the second more recent factor comes from Texas after the big freezes.
Understand that no one online stocks or stores this popular and expensive furniture as it is all dropshipped to you the consumer directly from the furniture maker on behalf of the online dealer. In early Spring of 2020 the outdoor furniture season started up has it does every year. At that time most folks were being told to stay home, factories, businesses were all shut down. This caused a huge back log when manufacturing started back up again weeks and months later. Surplus stockpiles were quickly depleted and most of the poly lumber furniture makers have been playing catch-up all throughout 2020.
Here we are in the first part of 2021 and reports come out that record freezes developed in Texas. According to reports Texas supplies about 85% of the HDPE industry with its raw material. And all of these key poly plants were shut down, some still remain closed as of this writing. Any surplus poly these plants may have had are now depleted. Most of the poly furniture manufacturers are implementing surcharges or 7-15% affective immediately which is why you may already be seeing higher prices for poly furniture online. Polywood, Berlin Gardens, Seaside Casual, Windy Valley, Colonial road and many other poly furniture makers you may have seen are all adding additional surcharges they are passing on from the Texas poly plants. While its being sold to all of us as a temporary surcharge its possible these raised prices could be the new norm.

Polywood announced that on April 1, 2021 they will have multi level pricing increases on all its furniture sold online trough them and all their online dealers so keep your eye's peeled for your favorite poly chair to go up in price.
The HDPE poly lumber supply line was already fractured from 2020 because of the manufacturing shut downs and now here in 2021 it appears to be a crazy year to be selling and buying this furniture.
Truth is if you want this furniture your going to be in someone’s line, it’s a matter of which line do you want to be in. If a website says they have the item in stock ask a lot of questions and make sure to get a tacking number. Its also not a good idea if the website charges your card at check out ( telling you it’s a deposit to lock you in to pricing, etc) Understand the online dealer is NOT paying for the furniture until it ships to you so they are not using your money as a deposit with the furniture makers.
