Meet Dr. Eric Carroll, our Director of Professional Services! Eric helps transform complex systems and processes into streamlined, scalable solutions that keep GEOGRAPH moving forward. We are thankful for Eric's dedication and his work behind the scenes that makes a difference.

1. What is your role at GEOGRAPH?
I am the Director of Professional Services where I focus on bridging the gap between business needs and technical ex*****on. Much of my work centers around GIS systems, database-level integrations, and designing workflows that allow platforms like HubSpot, Asana, and other enterprise systems to work together seamlessly, without disrupting core software.

2. What’s been your proudest accomplishment at GEOGRAPH?
Creating structure where it didn’t previously exist. Whether it’s building end-to-end workflows from sales to project delivery or helping standardize how GIS and enterprise systems integrate with our software, I take pride in turning complex, fragmented processes into something efficient, repeatable, and scalable for the team.

3. What was your first job?
My first job was working on a to***co farm. It wasn’t glamorous, but it taught me the value of hard work, consistency and figuring things out. Lessons that still influence how I approach my work today.

4. What is the top song on your work playlist?
“Sandstorm” from the Dune soundtrack. It’s high-energy and helps me stay focused, especially when I’m deep into problem-solving or building out complex workflows.

5. What’s your favorite dish or food?
Tacos, especially a really well-made steak taco. Simple, but when it’s done right, it’s hard to beat.

Attending our first international conference is as much about learning the landscape as it is about making connections. The European fiber market operates differently than what we see in North America, and understanding that is a valuable step forward for us.

We're heading home with a clearer picture of where the international opportunity is and how to approach it.

More to explore in the future, but we enjoyed our first European conference experience!

Our partners at the Fiber Broadband Association released Chapter 1 of their Building Better Broadband engineering best practices series, and it's a great read for anyone involved in fiber network design and deployment.

Chapter 1 digs into Planning & High-Level Design, covering upfront planning, data quality, stakeholder coordination, and scalable infrastructure choices. It's the kind of foundational guidance that helps teams reduce delays and avoid costly mistakes before a single permit is pulled.
