The front end of a EMI RS 124 with twin 6V6 output like a RCA BA6A or Gates. Input and output control, fast and slow attack, 6 release points, like the RS 124. Switchable feedback circuits, the British is the RS 124, smoother more hifi and cleaner. The American has more gain, color and character, turn compression off and get different colors of distortion with the feedback switch. 600 or 150 imp

edance taps on the input transformer for more gain and drive, also, 150 ohm input is better for using a mic directly. All tube and custom transformers, Simpson meter and all other precision parts. Designed in the mid/late 2000's at the Hangar studio in Sacramento after making RS 124's and other compressors, the BG2 was made in very small numbers. After moving to a studio in Los Angeles called Five Star and building RS 124 clones for a small company called Lisson Grove, Highland Dynamics was made to build the BG2!
