Jerry Alexander, 75, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Born August 11, 1950, he was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Clifton and Geraldine (Spencer) Alexander.
Jerry was a devoted member of The Way Pentecostal Church and truly loved the Lord. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles, and he especially treasured spending time with his grandsons. Whether playing with them or participating in Boy Scout activities, Jerry was actively involved in their lives and created many cherished memories. His faith, love for family, and enjoyment of the outdoors were defining parts of his life.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2026 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Brother Brent Rashall with interment to follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Colton Bradford, Clint Alexander, Daniel Rose, David Hollingsworth, Matt Quinn and Manuel Quinn will serve as pallbearers.
He is survived by wife of 49 years, Tanya Alexander; his daughter, Brooke Austin (Adam) of Dyersburg; his son, Jerry “Clint” Alexander (Mattie Davenport) of Cullowhee, NC; his brother, Ray Alexander of Dyersburg; two grandchildren, Colton Bradford, Rowan Austin; his niece, Jina Bridges (Brian) of Halls; and his step-mother, Jean Alexander of Indiana.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Anthony Alexander.
The family requests memorials be directed to The Way Pentecostal Church, 857 Hwy. 51 By-Pass, Dyersburg, TN 38024.
