Russel reached out to me about his son’s pc randomly shutting down due to possible overheating issues and was worried about the processor going out. He also asked if I could test out the power supply. After leaving the desktop and a second power supply with me for the weekend, I found out that the power supply was in perfectly working order when I attached it to my tester.
I checked on some of the cables next to make sure everything was plugged in. Everything was squared away, after a full weekend of being on and running multiple different stress tests on the computer, it passed with flying colors.

Thanks Russel for dropping it off and trusting me with making sure the Pc was in good health.

Being around since the end of summer I’ve been closely monitoring what the people have been asking for, and I’ve adjusted accordingly.

I’ve deeply thought it through and looked at other locations to offer the fairest pricing possible. So this year, I’ve lowered my service costs to be more fair. I’ve also decided to include a couple additional services as well.

Couple of the new services include are TV mounting and inclusion of retro video game console repair and modifications, as well as replacement of batteries for cartridge games.

I will also include that currently at this time, I do not do any repairs or modifications to the following consoles: PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch. I also do not do repairs on phones or tablets.

Finally, I will include a wavier form to be signed before any work is started.

With my first 6 month in the books, I am going to review my services offered.

I’m going to adjust appropriately, by adding some, and removing others. Once revised I will have an updated post as well.

Had a pleasure on working on this gaming PC today. Client informed me of the PC randomly shutting off, after a short period of use, and booting into the BIOS.

I came to conclusion it was a bad stick of RAM, after a little bit of testing. I informed the client that I do have a replacement set to swap in but unfortunately it’s in white, but they didn’t have a concern over that and didn’t want to be out of a PC much longer.

So in went in the new set of matching sticks of RAM and the PC is running flawlessly after some testing to show it’s stable and without it restarting for any reason at all after a couple hours, it’s a clean bill of health.

Had a fun time upgrading Josh’s PC from 8th gen Intel to 14th Gen Intel. Massive jump in performance.
Biggest headache was definitely the Bios being poorly setup from factory, causing the PC to boot only to bios, even if it recognized the drives it had plugged in, unfortunately took me a couple nights to figure out the correct config for it to start booting properly into Windows.

Major take back is always experiencing new issues and overcoming them.

Ah nothing like a beautiful limited edition PS5 showing up today. Super limited, 12,300 units, and individually numbered. Unfortunately for me and my friend who asked me to help him get his hands on one, we will never know the number. Could be 1, could be 12,300, the world will never know.

The design of the box is awesome! Each gen of each PS console on each side.

Awesome score today! The Sega CD is definitely a rare find to run into, especially in the box. Little history on it, it was a partnership between Sega and JVC to create this sweet addon accessory to the Sega Genesis. Unfortunately this is the model 2, compatible with the model 2 Genesis. It will work with the model 1 that’s shown in the picture but does hangover.

Just a reminder I am always looking at purchasing older games and consoles like these.
