Networked Robotics Corporation The Tempurity™ System: Networked scientific and medical real-time data collection and monitoring

Confirm the integrity of your biologics, reagents, or compounds. You can use your existing network to collect, store, and monitor the environmental data from your organization's FDA-regulated freezers, rooms, or incubators.

Tempurity™ Support: The Tempurity demo server at demo.networkedrobotics.com has been experiencing bandwidth issues. It has been slow for about the last week and a half. The problem has been fixed and the server is now back to normal. Note that alarm notifications are turned off on this Tempurity server.

Tempurity™ Support: We have updated our test phone call feature. See Support-Voice-Quick test of a phone call. The utility tests an individual's ability to get a call from Tempurity, and the overall operation of NR's voice servers, but does not test the functionality of your locally installed Tempurity System.

Tempurity™ Support: Temperature measurement anomalies. For monitored devices using our digital temperature probes - If you see a temperature curve with suddently dropping (or rising) values like in the blue curve below it is a sign of an intermittent problem - usually in the wire of the probe. Unlike analog probes digital probes fail only to set values which in the case of our TPL3-series is either 0, 80, or 128 C. If these events are rare, like once a month, you may wish to do nothing - otherwise replace or repair the probe.

Email Send Statistics: The Sendgrid Version of Tempurity™ System sent about 7,000 alarm notification and test emails in the last month of which about 16% were opened. Since many of these sends were tests, the low open rate is understandable.

About half of Tempurity System users use the Sendgrid version, the others use their own corporate and university mailservers to send alarm notifications. In these cases our customers retain private access to their send statistics.

Tempurity™ Support: For those institutions that require that network devices be authorized by their MAC address, our network hardware addresses are always of the form 00:50:C2:3A:XX:XX where XXs are the numbers that are 3D printed on the top of each unit. Each NTMS device has a unique MAC address.

Tempurity Support: Below see Networked Robotics' TPL3 digital temperature probe temperature curves that show the interruptions in the trace that indicate that the probe may need to be replaced or repaired. See our support page for instructions on replacing the wire in our temperature probes. Damaged digital probes spike to either 0 C or 80C (fahrenheit shown).

Networked Robotics' products (with one exception) are designed and assembled in the United States. Almost every integrated circuit in any electronic product sold by any company, including ours, is produced in the pacific rim. The chips we use all are made in Thailand, Malaysia, China, and Taiwan even though they are often designed here by American companies.

In a post on Facebook many years ago we argued that this was an economic and security risk to the United States because these countries were all close to each other geographically. In 2022 the Biden administration signed the Chips Act to facilitate (partially fund) US-based semiconductor manufacturing. The current administration wants to kill this subsidy and instead use its own brand of semiconductor protectionism using tariffs. You can argue that broad across the board tariffs on semiconductor imports are more fair, because instead of giving taxpayer money to a couple of giant chip manufacturers here they allow chip manufacturers from any country to compete on a level import playing field.

What will cost Networked Robotics is if tariffs on chips become high without warning. And what will really cost us is if chips become completely unavailable (as they were in the Covid period) due to market instability from any cause.
