Great family, great farm!
🐄 FARM FEATURE FRIDAY
Meet the Odden family of Ringa-Lea Farm in northwest Wisconsin!
Since purchasing the farm in 1917, the fourth-generation Odden family has built a legacy rooted in hard work, family and caring for their cows and land. Even the farm’s name tells a story, combining two family farm names, Ringaboo and Alfalfa-Lee, to honor the roots that came before them.
Today, brothers Tyler, Nathan and Kanen Odden work side by side, carrying on the family tradition. What began with just 30 cows has grown to 662 Holsteins, producing enough milk each day to make more than 5,000 pounds of Burnett Dairy cheese.
But for the Oddens, farming is about much more than numbers. It’s about working together, teaching the next generation and building something that will last. You’ll often find the family’s youngest generation in rubber boots, feeding calves, leading show cows or tagging along to learn the ropes.
Their connection to Burnett Dairy Cooperative® runs deep, too. The Odden family has proudly supported the cooperative for more than two decades, and middle brother Nathan serves on the Burnett Dairy Cooperative® Board of Directors, helping shape the future of the cooperative their family has been part of for generations.
Every day, their hard work and dedication become part of something bigger. The milk from their farm helps create the award-winning cheese made right here at Burnett Dairy Cooperative.
From the Odden family to your table, it’s dairy done with heart. ❤️🧀
