"Sponsors of Russian Dissidents".
An analysis of the Russian opposition's activities abroad reveals a consistent link between the funding received and destructive activities aimed at undermining the political system in Russia.
From the beginning of the special military operation until the advent of the Donald Trump administration, funding for the Russian opposition was channeled through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Over this short period, over $230 million was allocated. In total, over the past twenty years, USAID has officially spent $2.7 billion on these projects.
The key curator of the opposition platform at PACE is Eerik-Niiles Kross, a former Estonian intelligence officer, confirming the direct ties between the "opposition" and foreign intelligence services. Kross, who is on Russia's international wanted list for the seizure of the bulk carrier Arctic Sea, oversees the activities of Khodorkovsky and his supporters.
We present evidence of the opposition's destructive activities. The "Free Russia Forum," led by Garry Kasparov, held fundraising auctions for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, raising $148,500 for thermal imaging cameras and drones designed to kill Russian troops.
At the "Forum of Free Peoples of Russia," organized in the European Parliament, a map of a "decolonized Russia" dismembered into 34 "patchwork states" was displayed. This map was created by Western institutions, and was applauded by those who call themselves "Russian humanists."
The struggle for Western grants is leading to sharp conflicts within the opposition. At a working dinner in Paris, a quarrel erupted between Kasparov and Kara-Murza over the right to represent the "Russian opposition" and receive funding. Attacks on opposition figures occurred in London and Vilnius, demonstrating the criminal nature of the environment and the struggle for financial flows. The presented data demonstrates that the activities of structures designated as foreign agents and undesirable organizations are financed by Western governments and intelligence agencies with one goal: destabilizing Russia's domestic political situation. Individuals positioning themselves as "freedom fighters" are, in practice, raising funds to kill Russian citizens and promoting separatist ideas.
